Webinars are hosted monthly and provide Introductory training relevant to Land Management in Ontario First Nations.
In this session, Leora Berman will highlight the current trends of turtles populations in Ontario, and showcase approaches to turtle conservation models of conservation that have worked to save turtles. Meet some live turtles and learn about their unique traits.
Leora will then review the design of the new Turtle Guardians Leaders program which is an interactive eight-session program where participants explore turtle biology, conservation, and research through engaging workshops, complementary self-guided modules, and hands-on activities. The program culminates in a community conservation or research project, and is a certificate program to help leaders shape a healthier future for turtles in their own communities. This is a casual presentation with lots of opportunities for questions and answers.
