Webinar: GIS Land Management Solutions for First Nation Communities - Project Update from the Working Group - Virtual

Event Details

Dates:
28 May 2025
Dates: 28 May 2025
Location: Virtual
Description:

Webinars are hosted monthly and provide Introductory training relevant to Land Management in Ontario First Nations.

Land Management departments today are faced with ever growing challenges and constraints, from funding to technology and staffing. These challenges and constraints have motivated the creation of a Working Group, made up of OALA staff, OALA Member First Nations, and Esri Canada, to review and assess the current state of Land Management while uncovering the requirements (and a few solution opportunities) that need to be met in order to achieve a GIS Land Management solution that reflects First Nations needs and offers improved operational efficiency.

Join ESRI Canada on Wednesday, May 28 from 1 – 3 p.m. as they present the integrated findings from the working group and feedback participants. It will also highlight recommendations, additional considerations, and next steps with regard to building GIS Land Management Solutions.

Time: 1:00 – 3:00pm EST

A Zoom Meeting invitation will be sent directly to all OALA members. There is no requirement to register for virtual events.
