Virtual Lunch & Learn: RLEMP & FNLM Update with Indigenous Services Canada

Lunch and Learns are hosted monthly to allow for OALA and other Partner Organizations to provide information and updates as it relates to Land Management in Ontario First Nations.

This will be an introductory session on ISC’s land management initiatives – the Reserve Land and Environment Program (RLEMP) and First Nations Land Management (FNLM). Whether your First Nation is looking to build capacity in your Lands department, train a certified land manager, or develop a land code to transition away from the 44 sections of the Indian Act relating to land and environment management, ISC is committed to partnering with you to support your community’s unique land management needs.

This session will guide you through both initiatives and the application processes. We will outline each stage, clarify what actions ISC and our partners will take, and highlight the steps your community will need to complete along the way. By the end of the session, you will have a clear understanding of how the initiatives differ and how each may benefit your individual community.

Time: 1:00 – 2:00pm EST

A Zoom Meeting invitation will be sent directly to all OALA members. There is no requirement to register for virtual events.
