Webinars are hosted monthly and provide Introductory training relevant to Land Management in Ontario First Nations.
Indigenous peoples have always had ways of managing and stewarding their local ecosystems. This presentation will explore traditional and contemporary Indigenous land management practices such as manoomin revitalization, fish hatchery operations, contaminants testing and environmental monitoring. These expressions of land, water and ecosystem stewardship are ways that we can begin and/or to manage both our reserve lands and traditional and treaty territories.
Time: 1:00 – 3:00pm EST
A Zoom Meeting invitation will be sent directly to all OALA members. There is no requirement to register for virtual events.
